If you feel like you’ve seen all there is to see in San Francisco, think again!  In this city, there are always more hidden gems to be discovered.  Whether you are in town for a short time or plan to take long-term residence in the city, there are certain places that you must learn about: the ones that go beneath the spotlight. Here are our top ten hidden gems of San Francisco: Mount Sutro: If you are looking to go for a hike through a dense eucalyptus forest and enjoy the beauty of nature, this is the place to go.  Though often seen from a distance, few realize the amazing hike it provides. Lovers’ Lane in the Presidio: This one-mile walk in Presidio National Park can be taken for self-reflection, exercise, or a romantic stroll with your lover.  U.S. soldiers even used the path to access the trolley line, which helped them to see their loved ones in the 1800’s. Lands End Labyrinth: Eduardo Aguilera was inspired to create a space, made with stones, that is perfect for meditation, contemplation, and the discovery of inner peace. Privately-Owned Public Open Spaces (POPOS): Mostly appearing in the Downtown office district area, these open spaces can be used for a business meeting or a picnic with a friend. Seward Street Slides: Have you ever wanted another taste of childhood?  Well now you can!  Hidden in the Castro District are twin chutes used for children and adults to glide down, and race, by using cardboard boxes. 16th Avenue Mosaic Stairway: In Golden Gate Heights, 163 steps, created by local artists, portray astounding mosaic tiles that bring a concurrent rush of euphoria and relaxation.  And there is a hidden gem within a hidden gem at the top of the climb.  Grandview Park brings an incredible 360-degree view of the city. Castro Theater: As possibly the most gorgeous theater in the city, this movie house hosts a sing-a-long performance as people dress in the costumes of their favorite characters. Mission Murals: The Mission District show various priceless works of art, which includes many deep-rooted themes. Wave Organ: Completed in 1986, the sounds heard here can create a lullaby.  As the bay waves move in and out of organ pipes and concrete, listeners can enjoy a song of the heart. Strawberry Hill: Located in Golden Gate Park, here you will find even more trails to enjoy. Enjoy these hidden gems during your short trip or even on your search for furnished apartments in San Francisco, and you will not be disappointed.
